Before any concrete structure is poured or placed, excavation of the native or conditioned soil must take place.

Precision is key when large or small foundations and structures need to be excavated to any specific depth. This includes the layout and horizontal measurements, as well as vertical measurements.

When excavating for foundations and structures, when available, we use either surveyed points or tape measured distances off of surveyed points for accuracy.

In some cases over excavation is necessary to achieve stable bearing soil for foundations and structures.

Water services, sewer services and septic systems can add complexity to an already complicated project. If not done properly these systems can turn owning a house or property into a nightmare. Doing these services right, the first time will save a lot of headache down the road.

Safety is our top priority when in comes to any excavation, especially when digging at depths greater than 4 feet. Osha requires shoring or trench safety at depths greater than 5 feet deep, depending on soil classification. Excavations at depths of 20 feet or more require a licensed engineer to design the trench safety.

Whenever any water line, sewer line or gas line is placed in our excavation we use bedding. Bedding is any small aggregate (pea gravel, squeegee, sand) that surrounds the utility above, below and to either side. Bedding allows for stability and protection from settling and puncture.

We hold licenses with local counties and cities to install and repair most utilities on private property and right of ways.
